I was surprised by how much lighter this mat is compared to my old one—it’s easy to carry to class. The cork surface has a nice natural feel under my palms during downward dog.

The cork surface actually gets grippier once my hands warm up, which I wasn't expecting from such a thin mat. At 83% renewable materials it feels good underfoot without that rubbery smell. Tossed it in my bag for a studio class and barely noticed the weight.

I didn't expect to love a thinner mat this much, but the cork surface grips way better than my old rubber one once I start sweating. It's only 83% renewable materials, which I appreciate, though I still roll it out over a towel just in case.
